The Hollywood Hills

I guess LA is mostly known for being the home of Hollywood. When I think of Hollywood I picture Hollywoodland – silent movies, Gruman’s Chinese Theater and glamorous stars. But people tend to forget that there is more than Hollywood Boulevard to look at. That’s why Paul and I took advantage of our two weeks and seeing some places that you don’t always hear about. One of these places is the Griffith Observatory.

From here you get a wonderful view of LA and the Hollywood sign PLUS you can get a little education about that thing called the Universe. After a wander around the Observatory and taking in the stunning views of the city we took our seats in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium. It was here where we laid back and watched a 35 minute show on our place in the Universe. It was just like in Rebel Without A Cause – which of course is where some of the movie was filmed.

So, what to wear in such temperatures as LA? Seeing as we got a cab to the Observatory I decided to make a little effort as there will be no hill climbing for us! White is perfect for the heat and luckily this dress is loose enough to not cling to me. I love the style and so did a few ladies in the loo haha!dscf0042-copy
