When we are unhappy in a situation it’s often easier to just go with the flow and hope that things will get better. But that isn’t what happens. We sink deeper and deeper until we feel there is no way out. That’s why you are need to be taking action.
Whether you are the one calling it off or the one who is having their heart broken you HAVE to realise that if it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be. The harsh reality of relationships is that they are not easy but they’re even harder if one of you is unhappy.
It can be difficult breaking up for someone too, not just being dumped. Being used to having someone around and then them suddenly not be there is a difficult realisation but it is for the best because someone was unhappy and you’re unhappiness won’t last long in a breakup situation.
I don’t think it’s big news that a huge percentage of people hate their jobs but when it’s physically causing problems, it’s time to look after yourself starting with quitting your job.
Job hunting is a big pain in the backside. Writing a resume, sending them to companies who aren’t looking for workers, companies with 1000s of applications already..it’s a job in itself. But this is what we have to do if we want money and sadly not all of the best things in life are free (rent for example!).
Write a list of jobs you want, areas you’re willing to travel to and the salary you want. Using this look at job sites, contact job agencies and directly contact companies who may offer these opportunities. Spend an hour a day sending out your resume. It gets disheartening when there are no call backs but there are many like you! KEEP GOING.
Once you’ve completed a job interview , hand in your notice and feel the weight lift from your shoulders.
