The Body Shop Exfoliating Scrubs You Need in Your Life

After reading lots of beauty blogs over the past few years I have gained a wealth of information on skincare and makeup. And recently, I’ve decided to follow the advice given regarding exfoliating. I’ve always known it’s great for your skin and there are all sorts of ways to do it. There are brushes, sponges, scrubs and body washes. That’s why when payday came along I thought I would head to the Body Shop website and invest in some facial and body scrubs!

WHY EXFOLIATE?

  • It removes dead and dry skin cells,
  • Helps the skin look younger,
  • It increases circulation,
  • Reduces clogged pores,
  • Helps break down pigmented cells,
  • Prevents breakouts.

ALMOND MILK & HONEY

I use this practically every day… It smells delicious and leaves my skin silky and smooth.

But seriously, it smells SO good! And it doesn’t fade. You can still get that sweet scent on your skin throughout the day. And don’t judge me when I say that I take a smell of my arm throughout the day until you’ve tried this yourself.

Whilst in the shower, I apply a generous amount of the scrub on my arms and legs, rubbing it into my skin and rinsing. This is the perfect exfoliator for those with sensitive dry skin.

SEAWEED FACIAL SCRUB

Seaweed is said to extract excess fluid and dirt from your skin, allowing your face to feel cleansed and rid of dead skin cells. Other scrubs can often feel rough but this exfoliating scrub leaves my skin soft and isn’t rough on the application. And surprisingly, it doesn’t have a “seaweedy” smell!  As with the body scrub, I use this in the shower every morning and before bed in the evening. The natural ingredients really help in keeping a gentle experience. Faces washes tend to be full of chemicals but this natural scrub with Irish seaweed ensures you’re benefitting from what nature has to offer.

Have you tired these products? What else would you recommend?

I’ve tried the seaweed toner and the almond milk and honey mask but never these scrubs! Think I’m going to pick one up the next time I’m in there!
